About the event
Each event will be dedicated to a fallen hero, and for a donation of $25, participants can dedicate the work completed that day to their fallen hero.Â
Additionally, participants will receive seeds from the farm to plant at home as a way to continue honoring their loved one's memory.Â
The program seeks to create a meaningful and tangible way for participants to pay tribute to their fallen hero while engaging in therapeutic activities.
The importance of working together cannot be overstated. Veterans Corner creates a sense of community where veterans can come together and support each other. By working side by side on the farm, participants can build relationships and bonds to help them navigate post-military life's challenges.
The program also recognizes the importance of mental health. Gardening has been shown to have therapeutic benefits, and Veterans Corner seeks to harness those benefits to support veterans' mental health. The act of working with the soil, nurturing plants, and being in nature can provide a sense of calm and purpose that can be beneficial for veterans struggling with mental health issues.
In conclusion, Veterans Corner is a powerful program that brings together veterans to honor fallen heroes, work together on the farm, and support each other's mental health. Through the collaboration of Mrs. B's Table, Military Women's Collective, and PFC Farms, the program provides a unique opportunity for veterans to engage in therapeutic gardening activities while building meaningful connections with each other.
